Since 1999 E.C. (2006 G.C), following the implementation of the Outcome-Based TVET Strategy (BLTO), the establishment of technical and vocational training institutions has become widely recognized across the Oromiyaa Region. Accordingly, Dodola Polytechnic College was established in 2001 E.C. (2008 G.C.) through strong community participation and the support of the Dodola Town Administration after the BLTO strategy was restructured into a new format.
